New Year being around the corner, we generally plan a lot of things. As it becomes really crucial to end a year & start another one on a beautiful note. So most of us like to plan it in advance whereas there are other few like me who decide way in advance but things don't fall in place for some or the other reason. So, it's ok if your plan has failed, we can always make another one.

House Party

Here are few last minute ideas for all those people who still haven't decided on anything for 31st December.
1. Invitees -
First & foremost thing is to decide on the members with whom you want to celebrate. It can be a closed affair with your family members or a little extended relatives.
If not relatives then you can add your first relative next door, your neighbors.
Or it can be your closed gang of friends or your so called squad.


2. Venue -
Once you know who are your guests or companions, decide on a place. Don't forget to keep in mind that the place will play an important role for your enjoyment. If you want to shout out with loud music then you need to make a wise choice.
Few examples -

• Farm house
• Flat
• Society
• Apartment terrace(so called gachhi party)

3. Food & Drinks -
Nothing brings people together like good food so decide on the menu as it's going to be crazy outside with restaurants buzzing with people. I'm sure you don't wish to keep waiting for food. Either decide & cook something, pot luck - everyone makes their signature dish, Maggie, pasta party or the most famous one is Biryani party. Drinks I need not say as you guys are the best ones to decide on how it has to be per your preferences.
Cakes, desserts for all those sweet toothed people as we are in a mood to count memories and not calories.

4. ‎Other arrangements -

Retro theme party

• Theme - Decide on a theme like we usually have in parties - retro, masquerade etc. Or a silent pajama party with your most comfortable clothes.
• Decor - Depends on your theme or simple decor with lights, balloons. You can also have a prop booth which will add to the crazy time.
• Games - Arrange for some quick 2 min games if you have many people else you also have few traditional games likes musical chair, playing cards, uno, dart etc. If not this then you have housie which is enjoyed by all age groups. You wanna make it a naughty night then you can play truth and dare, jenga and many more.
• Music - Parties I believe are incomplete if there's no dancing. Having the most powerful tool in your hand(your phone), you can become a DJ all by yourself by either playing music from your play list or you have YouTube to the rescue. Play it loud, sweat it out. Dance like no one is watching you as this crazy year is coming to an end. Open your heart with hands wide to welcome the new year.

So, friends don't be upset if plan A didn't work. As far as you have the zeal and enthusiasm to celebrate your new year with a bang, you will surely find ways. Always believe something wonderful is about to happen and I'm sure it will.. Now you know you still have time and can have a blast and enjoy yourself so get on your toes and get started.

Don't go by the name that you would only be served 90ml here or there would be any offers if you order 90ml cz then you would be proved wrong 😄 It's much more than that from the peppy place to mind blowing DJ. Though I didn't see people grooving to the music inspite of it being Friday night.
As far as the ambience is concerned it's pretty good with nice wall painting and quotes around drinking. It is a very good option for all the sports lovers as they have put up a nice live match screening when we went there.

What all did we try?
Drinks - Beer on the tap, the pocket friendly, best option.

Food - Since we were little skeptical about food, we thought of playing it safe with:
1. Chicken Crispy - It proved us wrong as it was really tasty, we felt like eating it more and more.
2. ‎Moong Dal mix - Another dish which again proved that this is it! The chakna was just perfect.
3. ‎Fish & Chips - This was a mix of battered fish and French fries which was not upto the mark. After having tasted two delicious dishes, we were heart broken by this one as the fish didn't have any taste. Fries were good but too oily.

With this last option, we thought of leaving the place without trying anything further. But then since it's a very convenient place, we don't mind hopping in again.

PS - The music is too loud. So, if you are a person who enjoys loud music then you should give this place a try.

Best way to make your dreams come true is to wake up!!!” But how can one sleep in a city which never sleeps.. Yes, you have guessed it right. I’m talking about the City of Dreams where people run around the clock in search of their identity, happiness, success and dreams. It’s none other than “Aamchi Mumbai”.

Where do I start from? A very big question because there are so many things to say about this wonderful place on Earth. The name Mumbai is derived from Mumba or Maha-Amba—the name of the Koli goddess Mumbadevi—and Aai, "mother" in the language of Marathi. It came into existence when seven islands came together. You will find variety in everything that you see here from places to people to food etc.  Be it the monsoon season, every mumbaikar would without fail visit Marine Drive(Queen’s Necklace), Worli seaface, Bandstand, Juhu etc. and have garma garam bhajiyas, vadapav, buttha or a cutting chai.


Not to forget the Lifeline on which we are highly dependent, the Railways, this connects our towns and helps us to reach our destinations. Our journey is never complete without the roller costa ride due to the pot holes on our roads. Rickshaws, Taxis, Cars, Bikes all have place on the Mumbaiya roads to visit the best of places from the riches of Napean sea Road to Dharavi. You can find the best of places to hang here such as the Five Gardens, Narmin Point, Gateway of India, Hanging Garden. The God’s Glory can be felt at various places like Mahalakshmi temple, St. Micheal’s Church, Haji Ali Dargha and many more. How can I forget the latest one to add to the list is Mono Rail and Metro? Though for a shorter route yet enthralling.


“Whatever will satisfy hunger is good food.” And to talk about it in Bombaiya context it’s everyone’s all-time favourite, poor man’s burger i.e. Vadapa. Anytime, anywhere easily available for any pocket size. Paani puri, Paav Bahji, Golas etc. on the beaches among the crowd is the best experience without which the food quota doesn’t complete. After food let us come to the festivals, the only place where we celebrate all the festivals and also when the festivals coincide each other here. Let people be of any caste, creed or religion, we (mumbaikars) celebrate all festivals. Eid, Paryushan, Ganesh festival, Mount Mary feast all come along together to give us the feel of oneness. Places of worship like Temples, Gurudwaras, Mosques, Churches etc. are also close to each other. Almighty also proves that we are one.


That’s not all IPL matches here are worth more exciting than any other movie release when people from all across caste, creed, religion come to support the Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium. You can feel the people over here. All these wonderful experiences is worth it because of the people residing here with pure heart, never dying spirit and lots and lots of love for whosoever comes here. As Walt Whitman rightly said, “A great city is that which has the greatest men and women.” That’s how my Mumbai is, Our Mumbai is….

Meet Sam Anna @SamBar!

After cancelling the plan couple of times, we finally made it to this place which had already excited me by its name 'SamBar'. The ambience completely floored me with creative decor at every nook and corner of this place. So especially for all those South Indian food lovers who want to enjoy the southern delicacies with a twist - this is the place which not only offers amazing food but to compliment booze n hookah too. The waiters here were dressed in lungi to our surprise to compliment the theme of the restaurant.

#Capi Madra, Litchi Elaichi, Tapioca Chips and Kori Roast

Jumping to the most important part - the food.
Cocktails - Like I said before most of the drinks here had a twist of South Indian touch
1) Anna Colada - Had a taste of coconut water with bacardi. A thumbs up for this.
2) ‎Capi Madras - for the coffee lovers served exactly like how coffee is served in a traditional hotel. We were advised to have it instantly and was told that it was their specialty. It did not impress us much by the taste.
3) ‎Litchi Elaichi - Another good safe drink such can be tried out.

Food - the waiter helped us with some good suggestions which was very tasty
1) Kori Roast - my mouth is watering when I m jotting it down 😋 It has juicy chicken with very tasty gravy. We were so impressed by this that we ordered it again and had it with Neer Dosa(this was not upto the mark as it was sticking to our teeth)
2) ‎Benne Sukha - Authentic prawns gravy. Again tasty which we had with Neer Dosa.

#Anna Colada, Kodi Churuttu and Injipuli Sausage Pizza

3) ‎Kodi Churuttu - Their spring rolls stuffed with mushroom. Liked this one as it was something unique
4) ‎Spicy Tapioca chips - Had their freshly made crispy chips
5) ‎Injipuli Sausage Pizza - Pizza was ok though it had crispy thin crust base but then toppings didn't delight my taste buds.

Hookah lovers will love the flavor and the service. It has a pub where a party was hosted yesterday with good music. Overall my friends and me had a wonderful experience so people who are bored of the regular places, this place is where you can find a change with Sam Anna 😊
