KODE - Bar, Fine Dining

If it's your birthday, anniversary or any special occasion of your loved ones, for the perfect romantic date or family/friends reunion, you should keep KODE as one of the best option. As the new year is approaching and you are thinking of some surprise then I would highly recommend this place, I can bet you won't be disappointed.

My bday date couldn't have been better without this sweet surprise. This has been so far the best place that I have visited and one of the best restaurants in Mumbai.

Happy Tummy

It has a beautiful, serene ambience with courteous staff who offered us a warm welcome. There was humongous options in their menu so we left it to the expert's hand i.e. their head chef - Faqi Momin (who is a good friend).

We didn't had to wait much, all the food items were offered one after the other. So below is the list -

1. Berry Fizz - A huge drink of berry with soda, totally refreshing.

2. ‎Manchego Pide (Turkish flat bread) - A flat long strip of bread loaded with cheese. So for all those cheese lovers you must try this.

3. ‎Prawns temperature shushi - Shushi it is! Since we were a little skeptical on having raw fish. Faqi, their head chef customized it for us with prawns. If it was not for him, we would have missed out on an amazing Shushi tasted so far. It was really a sweet gesture from him & his staff.

4. ‎Prawn tempura - Prawns being our favorite, we were offered with another delicacy which again complimented our taste buds.

By this time, we were already full but by the description given by Faqi we were tempted to try yet another dish.

5. ‎Meat ball spaghetti - Meat ball filled with meat covered with egg. My mouth waters everytime when I think of the sauces that were used in it.

Last but not the least, the cherry on the cake was the dessert which I would recommend as the star dish from all that had.

6. Baked Alaska - It is a combination of ice-cream and cake with was three ice-cream flavors - chocolate, strawberry and vanilla along with dry fruits covered with brown meringue. It also contained flavor of rum. Just two words for this dessert - Mind boggling!

I would highly recommend this place to everyone. Thanks a lot Faqi and the team for your wonderful recommendations and hospitality. I would surely visit this place again like you mentioned during the night to enjoy the music, dance floor and again experience the huge variety of delicious food.
